Palm Desert Tennis Club was developed in 1973 and the original developers retained ownership of the land until 1998 when the land was offered to the individual homeowners, thereby establishing fee ownership. Eight homeowners elected not to buy the land and remain under the original ninety-nine year term of the lease, paying approximately $200.00 per month.
